Internship week 7

In this week we still continue in OrangeHRM application whereby I and Nurul must test every function that are require in this application. We have divided our typical task and explore it. I have the responsibilities of add the employee, set the password, covered employee leave, manage admin site and so on. After we covered all the function we had a meeting with Mr.Tan. We has explain everything about the function of this application. End of our meeting Mr.Tan agree replace Zoho with OrangeHRM because this application will tackle the major problem and I have the responsibilities of create the documentation of this application.

Internship Week 6

This week still on Zoho application that was handle by Nurul. There's a lot of function need to be covered by Nurul. I involve a bit on Zoho which require me to covered in holiday on Zoho. I have test and error that might happen in this application. End of the meeting Mr.Tan don't want using this application because it has a various limitation and not suitable for the company used. He ask me and Nurul to find another application that similar with Zoho. End of our findings we have present OrangeHRM replace the Zoho application because it tackle the major problem which is apply leave can be classified individual.

Internship Week 5

In this week I had meeting with Mr.Tan about the online address book that I mention last week. From our discussion Wiki World Book, Telnic, and UNYK did not suitable for the company used because it has limited function compare than Plaxo. I have explain more about Plaxo function whereby it has an import and export data and most the important things we can create our own group.Plaxo also allow us using this application via mobile such as Blackberry, iPhone, Win mobile, and android phone. Furthermore the paid one has a few features such as outlook sync, de-duper, unlimited e-cards, backup and recovery, and VIP customer support. First outlook sync allow us to see contact's plaxo activity directly from outlook . Second, de-duper has ability of finding and removing duplicates entries and it is intelligently merge similar contact. We also can create our own photo through e-cards.Fourth, backup and recovery allow us to restore a copy of contact's address from previous date. Next, VIP customer support will help us through live chat. End of the meeting, Mr.Tan ask me to search another online contact address book that similar and has advance features than Plaxo. Through the findings I can conclude that the free application has quite similar function and the paid one majority did not allow us to see the demo but only the description of useful function. So far the best application I found is HyperOffice. Next Mr.Tan has continue on Zoho did was handle by nurul (my partners).

Internship Week 4

In this week I have the responsibilities in exploring the online contact address. I have cover four online contact address which is Telnic, Wiki World Book, Plaxo, and UNYK. Basically all this contact address has a similar features but it has their own pros and cons. I am quite difficult in exploring the Telnic application because it is a paid application. According to the demo Telnic is more to mobile online address book. Next, Wiki World Book is quite interesting but it is too simple and mesy. In my opinion it is not suitable for the company use because it has a lot of advertising and it would effect the interface design. Wiki is a free online address book that enables us to be found via google when people are searching name and peole can instantly email us and they do not need to register. Next, Plaxo and UNYK is quite easy to learn but Plaxo application is more interesting than UNYK. Plaxo basic is a core service that offer free and paid membership but UNYK is totally free online address book. Plaxo offer more reliable tools in the paid membership.

Internship Week 3

It was a third week of internship. We have continue redesign the fully functionality of workspace (feng office) according to Mr. Tan idea and the collaboration of our team work.Mary has come out with the new idea of the connecting between workspace known as bridge. I and my partners already test the newly born workspace and so far it is successfully work.

Internship Week 2

It was a second week of internship. This week I must prepared the individual task whereby I need to explore more about the VOIP design, vendor, and hardware used. Furthermore, I has explore the ZOHO application. This application was very user friendly whereby this application provide a lot of folder such as mail, desktop, wiki, document, etc. On Friday, we attend meeting with Mr. Tan. we have present the complete structure that was redesign and explain the function deeply. The meeting start at 11:00 and finish at 5:30 and we have break 1 hours at 12:00. After break, Mr. Tan comes out with new idea in order to enhance the previous ones. We must redesign the new one according to Mr. Tan idea and there is how the logical thinking apply.

Internship Week 1

It was a first day of internship and i was very excited. i've learn deeply about open source application and it's quite interesting. Mary who's incharge us was very nice and she has teach us how to using skype application and ask me to findings the open source of contact address. On the next day, we had a meeting with our CEO (Mr.Tan). The meeting regarding our Task 1 whereby we must find the solutions of VOIP connectivity for Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. Furthermore, we have discussion about Skydio (Email Server) will expired on Nov, and it will replace to Unsonyx (Domain name manager). Mary will show next the steps of using feng office (open source application) and we have testing and workout the working flow using feng office. 3rd Day Internship regarding our Task 2 . task 2 have divided into two cases whereby cases 1 is about try and error using feng office. for the example, the customer send an email and asking for quotation, email will be received by sales under sales@safetyxpert.net. Next, someone from sales department will in charge in checking the sales email from feng office than assign to respective country. next, cases 2 is about sales received email from customer Malaysia but asking about the sales in Singapore as well.This two cases need us to design the workspace inside feng office application. 4th Day Internship, we have continue the yesterday task. the structure of workspace have divided into 4 space which is Sales, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand space. All of them holds the special attributes which is Country, Union (combination of two country), and MST (combination of more than two country). We have tested the application and it's running successfully.
